Drawing water from a Bucket
Karcher high pressure cleaners can draw water from a bucket or water tank, allowing them to be used in most areas of Australia during current water restrictions. (check with you local council first).
Smart Approved Water Mark
Karcher Australia is concerned about the drought in Australia and we are doing our best to help reduce water wastage.
Kärcher Pty Ltd is proud to announce that our range of domestic high pressure cleaners have been accepted into the Smart Approved Watermark scheme. The Smart Approved Watermark recognises the excellence in water saving products. The key objectives of the Smart Approved WaterMark scheme are to assist in the reduction of per capita water consumption in the areas of outdoor water-use via the labelling of appropriate water using/saving products and water related services and organisations.
As water restrictions continue to tighten, it is important that consumers can easily recognise products that will assist in water saving. Kärcher is committed to the programme, and believes that the scheme is an ideal way to educate the public about water conservation and aid in purchases of machines that will save water.
Kärcher Australia has worked in conjunction with savewater! to create material to promote the water saving benefits of Kärcher products.

Karcher Efficiency
Even with the current water restrictions Karcher’s High Pressure Water Cleaners mean you can still tackle the messiest jobs yourself. Karcher High Pressure Cleaners use up to 80% less water than a standard garden hose, whilst applying up to 35 times more pressure to ensure a far more effective and efficient clean. They don't need to be attached to a mains tap as they can draw water straight from a bucket or water tank.
For regional water restrictions, please contact your local council or relevant government body.
High-Pressure Cleaners help Save Water and Cleaning Agent use.
A world without high-pressure cleaners is inconceivable in many trades, in the painting and decorating trade, in agriculture or the automotive trade. Many home and garden owners would not want to be without their high-pressure cleaner either, because there is nothing as fast or thorough as a high-pressure cleaner for cleaning your vehicle, removing moss from patios, algae from swimming pools or dirt from facades. Furthermore, these machines are not only useful; they are environmentally friendly, too.
There are two reasons for this claim:
First, high-pressure cleaners reduce water consumption. The restricted bore cross section (the nozzle), which is required to increase pressure, reduces the water flow volume. Compared to a garden hose, for example, this achieves a water saving of up to 80%, assuming the average suburban household pressure of about 4.5 bar, about 3,500 litres of water flow through the hose every hour, while the flow rate through the spray lance of a high-pressure cleaner is only 400 to 600 litres in the same time. In addition, the actual time spent on the cleaning job is cut drastically and this, in turn, reduces water consumption even further.
